Because we are a not-for-profit theater school,

Let's Pretend Players, along with community sponsors,  absorbs fees for underprivileged children in areas of evidenced need.

For our 2005 production of Nutcracker, over 2500 children from under-served communities were sponsored by Let's Pretend, or a community sponsor.  Areas of sponsorship included admission fees, transportation, and/or tuition.

We do this because we want to provide these

children with a very unique, and possibly

life-changing experience.  Live theater can provide

a child in an economically challenged situation with another perspective on life;

a dream to dream, a goal to strive for.

We need more community support in order to continue to do great things for Albuquerque's kids.

We have an original work slated for March, 2006,

"City of Albuquerque: An Exploration of Albuquerque through a Child's Eyes" to commemorate the City of Albuquerque’s Tricentennial Celebration.

Our goal is to provide approximately 3,000 children with the opportunity to experience the Magic of live theater
